Schools Without Borders

Saturday 7 August 2021 - 9.30AM, PalaCinema

1 day, 5 schools, 25 films, 1 horizon: the Cinema. That's School Without Borders, a whole day on the big screen, dedicated to the works of students from Swiss film schools

For more than ten years the Locarno Film Festival has been promoting a festival dedicated to films made by students from schools linked to the world of audiovisuals, both national and international. The CISA, which has always coordinated the event, has decided this year to invite, in synergy with BaseCamp, Swiss film schools to present a selection of their best short films. Alongside the CISA productions, Locarno74 will also feature short Bachelor (and some Master) films from Zurich's ZHdK, Lausanne's ECAL and Geneva's HEAD, as well as a selection of films from Lucerne's HSLU.

The event will be held under the aegis of CILECT (Centre International de Liaison des Ecoles de Cinéma et Télévision), the association that includes the 180 most prestigious film schools in the world, of which CISA, ZHdK, ECAL and HEAD are members.
