Julia Schubiger

After obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Ethnology at the University of Neuchâtel, then a Master's degree in Communication Studies at the Sorbonne in Paris, Julia Schubiger started her career in different festivals, including Locarno Film Festival where she was part of the Industry Days team (now Locarno Pro). Very quickly, she joined the selection committees of: feature films and shorts at Fribourg IFF, Asian short films at Neuchâtel IFFF and TV series at Geneva IFF. As there were no more new editions of the Festivals where she worked during the pandemic, she redirected herself to production companies and film shootings. First, she worked as a production assistant at Vega Film in Zurich, then as a 2nd assistant director on short films, feature films and TV series in Switzerland and France. Since 2023, Schubiger works as Junior Producer at Langfilm, Zurich.
