For four days in 1983, Daniel Schmid and cameraman Renato Berta filmed Sirk at his home in Ruvigliana. These are the last images of him, four years before his death: a room in shadow, his dark glasses hiding his eyes. “He was of an absolutely prodigious culture”. (R. Berta)
