Astrée, a Swedish woman on vacation, decides to stay in Puerto Rico. She marries Don Pedro, the landowner on the island. Ten years later, her heaven has turned into hell, and Astrée yearns to return to Sweden with her son. This was Sirk’s last film in Germany.
