Humberto González Bustillo è nato a Maracaibo, in Venezuela, nel 1992. Ha partecipato al Cinema Postgrad Program presso l'università Torcuato di Tella di Buenos Aires. Il suo cortometraggio d'esordio, Aforismos del lago (2021), è stato presentato in anteprima allo Sheffield Doc/Fest. Il suo seguito, Fatherspy (2023), è stato presentato in anteprima al Syncro Film Festival di Buenos Aires.
