Locarno Film Festival

Fritz Lang (1890 – 1976) è il regista di celeberrimi film fatalistici realizzati prima in Germania e poi, a seguito dell’avvento del nazismo, negli Stati Uniti. I suoi film tedeschi più famosi sono Metropolis (1927), M – Il mostro di Düsseldorf (1931) e Il testamento del dottor Mabuse (1933), mentre fra i titoli del suo cinema hollywoodiano passati alla storia ricordiamo Sono innocente (1937), Rancho Notorious (1952) e The Big Heat (1953).

Fritz Lang (1890 – 1976) made celebrated, fatalistic films in both Germany and, after the Nazis came to power, in the United States. His most famous German films include Metropolis (1927), M (1931), and The Testament of Dr. Mabuse (1933), while his best-remembered Hollywood directing efforts are You Only Live Once (1937), Rancho Notorious (1952), and The Big Heat (1953).
