Todd Haynes

Born in 1961 in California, Todd Haynes directed his first feature, Superstar: The Karen Carpenter Story in 1987. In 1991, he directed Poison, which screened at Locarno and won the Grand Jury prize at Sundance. Four years later, he directed Safe (1995) followed among others by Far From Heaven (2002), which earned him a nomination for Best screenplay at the Academy Awards, I’m Not There (2007), Carol (2015), which was selected In Competition at Cannes, and Dark Waters (2019).

Nato nel 1961 in California, Todd Haynes ha diretto il suo primo film, Superstar: The Karen Carpenter Story, nel 1988. Nel 1991 il suo Poison, presentato a Locarno, ha vinto due Gran premi della giuria al Sundance.
