Heute blickt sein Enkel Alain in einem liebevollen Dialog mit seiner Grossmutter Cesira auf diese Zeit zurück.

L’histoire raconte qu’un jour Luigi Ughetto a traversé les Alpes pour commencer une nouvelle vie en France, changeant à jamais le destin de sa famille. Aujourd’hui, son petit-fils Alain remonte le temps pour retracer cette histoire, dans un dialogue affectueux avec sa grand-mère Cesira.
Early 20th century, Northern Italy. The Ughetto family, living through difficult times, dreams of a better future abroad. The story tells of Luigi Ughetto crossing the Alps to start a new life in France, thus changing the destiny of his beloved family forever. His grandson travels back in time revisiting their history, in an intimate dialogue with his grandmother Cesira.

Si narra che un giorno Luigi Ughetto attraversò le Alpi per iniziare una nuova vita in Francia, cambiando per sempre il destino della famiglia. Oggi suo nipote Alain torna indietro nel tempo per ripercorrere quella storia, in un dialogo affettuoso con la nonna Cesira.
Eine Geschichte, die mit «ich» beginnt und in «wir» übergeht. Polen, Indianer, Spanier... Die Vergangenheit ist in unserer DNA. Ich wollte zeigen, dass damals alle Ausländer willkommen waren.
