Lucie Emch holds a Bachelor’s degree in Film History and Aesthetics from the University of Lausanne and Communication Science from the University of Neuchâtel, as well as a Master’s in Global Creative and Cultural Industries from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London. Since 2016, she has worked with the Geneva IFF (GIFF), the International Film Festival and Forum on Human Rights (FIFDH), and various Swiss festivals and cultural events. She joined GIFF’s programming team in 2021, curating an eclectic range of works, including feature films, XR works, and series, and has been in charge of program coordination since 2023. She is the co-founder and programmer of Eclipse, an annual event dedicated to Swiss music videos. She also serves on the Executive Committee of the Swiss Women’s Audiovisual Network (SWAN), and her research on gender representations has been published in the journal of the Grupo de Investigación “Televisión-Cine: memoria, representación e industria” (TECMERIN).
