All Access for Students

If you're a trainee or in higher education and you're under 30, our Student Pass is for you. You can access the Festival for a massive discount, receiving a full accreditation that gives you access to films, talks & events – including Piazza Grande – for only 110 CHF.

Reduction for 65+

Whether you’ve been coming to the Festival for decades or you’re curious to make it this year for the first time, if you’re over 65, this full festival pass is perfect for you because it gives you access to films, talks & events (including Piazza Grande). Also available for AVS or AI beneficiaries.

Public transport in Ticino and Moesano (according to the Arcobaleno fare network) is included in every ticket or pass for the Festival for the entire duration of its validity.
Seat booking is mandatory for all screenings – except those in Piazza Grande – for all Festival Pass and Day Pass holders.

Day Passes

A Day of Cinema in Locarno

A Day Pass grants you access to all screenings and events on a chosen date, including Piazza Grande. Day Passes are available for purchase from August 6 to 16 until 8 PM on the day of use.

One Day's Access for Students & Trainees

With a Student Day Pass, you can access to all screenings and events on the chosen date of purchase, including Piazza Grande. These can be bought from August 6 to 16 until 8 PM on the day of use.

Catalogs and programs purchased as add-ons will be available for pickup at the Piazza Grande Info Point from August 4.
