Nella Kunchon degli anni Settanta, Choon-ja e Jin-sook, due tuffatrici esperte, si guadagnano da vivere raccogliendo frutti di mare. In 1970s Kunchon, two best friends, Choon-ja and Jin-sook, are skilled women divers who collected seafood for a living. However, the construction of factories near the beach disruptes their livelihood. Desperate for income, they join a smuggling business by sea. As the smuggling operation grows, Jin-sook's family struggles to handle it, and the once peaceful village begins to crumble.
Im Kunchon der Siebziger sind die besten Freundinnen Choon-ja und Jin-sook ausgebildete Taucherinnen und verdienen ihr Geld mit Meeresfrüchten. Der Bau von Fabriken nahe des Strandes bringt sie jedoch um ihren Lebensunterhalt. Aus Verzweiflung steigen sie in einen Schmugglerring ein. Als das Geschäft blüht, hat Jin-sooks Familie damit Mühe und das friedliche Dorf beginnt zu zerfallen.
