Mauricio Calderón Rico has a Master in script and is a graduate in Film and TV from Centro de diseño, cine y TV. He has been a scholarship holder of the FONCA Young Creators program. His script, Los Días Tristes, obtained the support of the IMCINE Film Creators Stimulus for Project Development. He has participated in more than 30 international festivals with several short films. His project, Todos los incendios, has participated in Cine Qua Non Lab and the Guadalajara Talents Script station, winning the Gabriel Figueroa Film Fund as well as FOPROCINE and EFICINE for its production in 2022. He is a founding member of the collective of audiovisual creators Colmena.
