Maryam Tafakory

Born in Iran in 1987, Maryam Tafakory works with film and performance. She has presented solo screenings and exhibitions at the MoMA, the BOZAR, the National Gallery of Art in Washington DC, the Academy Museum, the Museum of the Moving Image in New York, and LUX London. She was awarded the Gold Hugo at the 2022 Chicago International Film Festival, the Tiger Short Award at the 2022 Rotterdam IFF, the Barbara Hammer Feminist Film Award at the 2022 Ann Arbor Film Festival, and the Best Experimental Film Award at the Melbourne International Film Festival in 2021 and 2022.

Nata in Iran nel 1987, Maryam Tafakory lavora con il  cinema e la performance.
