Dopo aver completato gli studi di cinema a Katowice e aver lavorato per dieci anni nell’industria cinematografica polacca, Piotr Turlej si è trasferito in Perù e attualmente vive tra la peruviana Puno e Cracovia, in Polonia. Ha studiato alla Szkoła Wajdy di Varsavia, diplomandosi nei corsi di sviluppo e di sceneggiatura. Ha lavorato come aiuto regista nella serie televisiva Czas honoru (TVP, 2011), nel film Kamczatka (Jerzy Kowynia, 2013) e in numerosi video pubblicitari, documentari e altri format. In Perù e negli Stati Uniti ha lavorato come montatore e operatore di ripresa in progetti indipendenti.
After finishing film school in Katowice and spending a decade working in the Polish film industry, in 2013 Piotr Turlej moved to Peru. Today he lives between Puno (Peru) and Cracow (Poland). He graduated from the Wajda School Development Lab (2021) and Screenwriters Programme (2022) in Warsaw. He has worked as assistant director in the TV series Time of Honor (TVP, 2011), the film Kamchatka (Jerzy Kowynia, 2013) and in multiple commercials, short docs and mixed formats. In Peru and the US, he worked as editor and camera operator for independent projects.
