A founder and director of the Madagascourt Film Festival, Laza is known for his significant impact on a new generation of African filmmakers and talents, playing a crucial role in the works of many Malagasy filmmakers over the last 15 years. He currently presides over The Pan-African Alliance of Screenwriters and Filmmakers (APASER).
