A tailor-made program which invites directors who have completed a feature film to discuss creative processes, challenges in filmmaking, participate in workshops and meeting other industry professionals. Films of the selected directors will be screened during the Locarno Film Festival as part of the Open Doors Screenings section.
Open Doors Directors welcomes directors to participate in an extensive line-up of talks, workshops and networking opportunities. Films of the invited directors will screen in the Open Doors Screenings section, part of Locarno’s official selection.
The program will take place over three months, in two phases: first, online during the months of June and July, then onsite between August 7th and 12th 2025, in the framework of Locarno Film Festival and Locarno Pro.
The application is free of charge. The working language for the programs will be English.
