Raphaël Brunschwig (1984) joined the Locarno Film Festival in 2013 and has been responsible for its management since 2017. As CEO, he oversees the Executive Management Team, comprised of six individuals from the cultural and management departments of the Festival, and is responsible for achieving the Locarno Film Festival's strategic objectives.
Brunschwig is also responsible for ensuring the economic and relational resources necessary for the smooth and sustainable running and growth of the Festival.
In addition, he is President of the Eventi letterari Monte Verità, Co-President of Swiss Top Events, the association that unites the nine leading sports and cultural events in Switzerland and promotes their Swiss excellence worldwide, and member of various associations, such as the Leopard Club, the patrons’ club of the Festival, the Executive Committee of the Conférence des festivals, the association that brings together the most important film festivals in Switzerland, the Ticino Film Commission, CISA (Conservatorio Internazionale di Scienze Audiovisive), and of the Steering Committee of Digital Switzerland.
He is also a member of the Board of Trustees of the Eranos Foundation, known for its celebrated conferences that explore cultural, religious, and spiritual issues through a multidisciplinary approach.
