Tizian Büchi is a swiss director and programmer. He graduated in History of Cinema and Aesthetics from the University of Lausanne, worked as a programmer at several film festivals including Neuchâtel International Fantastic Film Festival and he was responsible for the French-speaking part of Switzerland for Look Now! Distribution in Zurich. In 2017 he received a master’s degree in Direction from the Institut des Arts de Diffusion in Belgium and worked as an assistant to the Cinema/Cinema of Reality department of HEAD Geneva. His short films have been selected and won awards at numerous international festival and on visual anthropology programs. His first feature L’îlot won the International Feature Film Competition and the La Mobilière Golden Sesterce of Visions du Réel 2022 and will be screened in the Panorama Suisse section at the 75th Locarno FIlm Festival.
