Jean-Philippe Rochat is a lawyer, arbitrator and company director.
After studying at the University of Lausanne, Jean-Philippe Rochat worked in the General Secretariat of Publicitas, both in Switzerland and internationally, followed by two years in an auditing firm. After qualifying as a lawyer, Jean-Philippe Rochat first practiced his profession in Geneva and then, in 1988, as a partner at Carrard et Associés in Lausanne, which became Kellerhals Carrard in 2015. He is currently Chairman of Kellerhals Carrard Lausanne/Sion SA and Vice-Chairman of Kellerhals Carrard Switzerland. Specializing in the field of corporate law, he has since 1988 developed a parallel expertise in sports law and acted as Secretary General of the Court of Arbitration for Sport from 1994 to 2000. Throughout his career, he has regularly acted as President, arbitrator or as a member of arbitration tribunals in disputes concerning sports and business law.
He sits on the boards of several Swiss companies, including Vaudoise Assurance, Vetropack SA and Hochdorf SA. He is also Chairman or member of several philanthropic foundations.
Since 2023 he has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Locarno Film Festival.
