Anga Mqingwana

Anga Mqingwana is a South African film producer who holds a Bachelor of Arts in Motion Picture Medium from the AFDA School of Motion Picture in Cape Town.

After graduating, she worked full-time in post-production for local and internationally recognised television programmes and has also worked freelance on various projects as a researcher, creative producer, cast coordinator and content creator for various media formats such as music videos, documentaries and web series. She currently works at Big World Cinema in Cape Town, where she manages the company’s catalogue of 21 films as a Production and Distribution Coordinator and works with film festivals, online streaming platforms, broadcasters, educational institutions and museums worldwide.

She has also gained a foothold in story development and aims to help towards recalibrating the African content paradigm to best represent the continent's storytelling capacity by actively engaging in opportunities that develop her curatorial skills.
