À Bornéo, Kéria recueille un bébé orang-outang trouvé dans une plantation de palmiers à huile. Au même moment, Selaï, son cousin, vient se réfugier chez eux pour échapper au conflit qui oppose sa famille nomade aux compagnies forestières. La forêt ancestrale est réellement menacée. Kéria, Selaï et le bébé singe Oshi vont alors braver tous les obstacles pour lutter contre la destruction programmée.

With Sauvages, I want to address a world that is changing very fast, generations that come and go, “traditions” that are disappearing. I’m interested in how, despite all this, we can pass down values and a sense of where we’re headed.
Mit Sauvages möchte ich über eine sich rasch verändernde Welt sprechen, über Generationen, die sich ablösen, über «Traditionen», die verschwinden. Wie vermittelt man trotzdem Werte und bleibt sich bewusst, wohin wir gehen?
Con Sauvages volevo parlare del mondo che cambia a grande velocità, delle generazioni che si succedono, delle “tradizioni” che scompaiono. Di come tramandare dei valori nonostante tutto, e un senso del dove siamo diretti.
Avec Sauvages, je veux parler du monde qui change très vite, des générations qui se succèdent, des « traditions » qui disparaissent. De comment transmettre des valeurs malgré tout et ce vers quoi l’on va.
