Caterina Biasiucci, born in Naples in 1995, graduated in Comparative Languages, Literature and Culture at the University of Naples “L’Orientale”. In 2014, she took part in Filmap, a workshop coordinated by Leonardo Di Costanzo, and directed her first short, 668. Her follow-up film, Appunti sulla mia famiglia (2017), was shown in the Prospettive competition at the Filmmaker festival and won the award for Best Documentary at the 2018 Naples Film Festival. In 2020, she received the Zavattini Award for the project Il mare che non muore. She’s currently developing her first fiction film, under the working title Sette Opere, which is produced by Parallelo41 and supported by the Film Commission Campania’s development fund.
I was thrilled by the possibility of exchanging, alongside other people, with a director like Michelangelo Frammartino, who turns “fiction” in a tool of reality, and developing a project that is both personal and collective.
