Our Official Partners

At each edition, the Locarno Film Festival can count on the consolidated support of its public and private Partners. It is their support that allows the event’s organizational machine to accomplish its feat year after year, bringing the magic of cinema to Locarno. Thanks to their joint contribution, the Festival can constantly renew itself and face the challenges of the future with optimism. That’s why our most sincere gratitude is due to those public institutions and private Partners, and to all the members of both the Associazione Festival del film Locarno and the Leopard Club.

Main Partners

UBS

Main Partner since 1981. Through joint initiatives such as the Prix du Public UBS and the Locarno Meets podcast, we anticipate the needs of future Festival audiences and ensure that everyone can enjoy the content all year round.

Swisscom

Main Partner since 1997. Together we are experimenting with new ways of distributing our offer: for example, by making part of our program accessible to those who cannot be in Locarno through our video productions or through blue Plax, the free media library of blue TV.

La Mobiliare

Main Partner since 2017. Together we are committed to the younger generation, for example through an area dedicated to audiovisual education, Locarno Kids, and the Atelier du Futur, an educational experience for pre-teens. Not to mention the Rotonda by la Mobiliare, sustainably designed with the intention of creating a place of encounter and dialogue for festival goers and the local public.

Main Partner since 2023. Together we encourage creative innovation with the First Feature Award, given to the most striking debut, and the development of newly conceived spaces during the Festival.

Destination Partner

Ascona-Locarno

Destination Partner since 1981. In addition to supporting the Pardo alla Carriera, the Tourist Office makes possible the publication of the Locarno Special, a widely distributed magazine for a Festival experience that is also about discovering and enhancing the region, as well as the Ask Me Team, our information service at the Festival.
