Balthus Kiss, born in 1995 in Geneva, Switzerland, obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of Geneva in 2019. In 2022, he earned a Master’s degree in Cinema from ECAL/HEAD, specializing in screenwriting. This was complemented by a writing internship at Rita Productions for the series Espèce menacée, which premiered at Locarno77. Since then, he has collaborated on the writing of feature films and directed his first short film Prends soin de toi (2025) that is currently in distribution.
Born in the Italian part of Switzerland, Anna Simonetti (1997) graduated from the University of Geneva in 2021 with a degree in Social Sciences in the Department of Geography and Environment. She completed her film studies at HEAD - Geneva (Haute école d'art et de design) in 2024, where she specialized in film direction. Her first short Serafina (2022), co-directed with Noa Epars, was selected at Locarno75 and the 52nd New Directors New Films Festival in MoMA and Lincoln Center of New York. Her diploma film Wild Flower, co-written with Balthus Kiss, won the Best Swiss School Film in 2024 at the 28th Internationale Kurzfilmtage Wintherthur.
