Summer Storm

The transposition, in the years before and after the Revolution, of a novella by Chekhov that Sirk had already worked on in Germany. Through a long flashback, Judge Fedor tells the story of the sensual Olga, who has three men competing for her affection, in a decaying society. This was the first film to star the beloved George Sanders.
