Il regista e produttore americano Budd Boetticher (1916 – 2001) conosciuto per l'influenza che esercitò sul genere western. Dopo essere stato un torero professionista in Messico si è trasferito a Hollywood, dove ha diretto L’amante del torero (1951) ispirandosi alla propria esperienza nel mondo della corrida. Boetticher è assurto alla fama grazie alla collaborazione con l'attore Randolph Scott, che ha diretto in una serie di western molto amati fra cui I sette assassini (1956), I tre banditi (1957) e Ride Lonesome (1959).
Budd Boetticher (1916 – 2001) was an American film director and producer best known for his influential work in the Western genre. After a career as a professional bullfighter in Mexico, he transitioned to Hollywood, where he directed Bullfighter and the Lady (1951), inspired by his own experiences in the bullfighting world. Boetticher gained recognition for his collaboration with actor Randolph Scott, whom he directed in a series of acclaimed Westerns including Seven Men from Now (1956), The Tall T (1957), and Ride Lonesome (1959).
