Born in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental with a degree and training as a seaman, Richard V. Somes moved to Manila to pursue his other passion – film. With his early experience on the set, he ventured into directing both television and film. We Will Not Die Tonight (2018), was a break out success in the independent community and it took his career into the next level along with 24 directorial credits to his name to date for both film and TV.
