Ingaggiato originariamente dalla Colombia Pictures per il suo talento nella pubblicità, William Castle (1914 – 1977) è stato un influente produttore cinematografico e un grande innovatore nell'impiego di trucchi e stunt pubblicitari, oltre che un sagace regista di film di serie B come Mysterious Intruder (1946) e La casa dei fantasmi (1959).
