Lo sceneggiatore e regista coreano Hong San-soo (nato nel 1960) ha studiato presso la Chung-Ang University, il California College of Arts e la School of the Art Institute of Chicago, realizzando il suo primo lungometraggio nel 1996. Da allora ha diretto oltre 30 film fra cui The Day He Arrives (2011), Right now, wrong then (2015), Hotel by the River (2018) e In Our Day (2023). Il suo cinema si distingue per l’osservazione discreta della vita quotidiana nella Corea del Sud di oggi.

Korean writer and director Hong Sangsoo (born 1960) studied at Chung-Ang University, the California College of Arts, and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and made his first feature film in 1996. He has since directed over 30 films, including The Day He Arrives (2011), Right Now, Wrong Then (2015), Hotel by the River (2018), and In Our Day (2023). His films are known for their low-key explorations of everyday life in contemporary South Korea.
