Kelly Reichardt

Nata a Miami, in Florida, nel 1964, Kelly Reichardt è una sceneggiatrice e regista indipendente. Dopo l’esordio River of Grass (1994), presentato al Sundance e alla Berlinale, e alcuni anni dedicati alla forma breve, è tornata al lungometraggio nel 2006 con Old Joy. I suoi film successivi sono stati mostrati e premiati nei festival di tutto il mondo, passando per Cannes, Venezia, Rotterdam e Toronto. First Cow (2019), è stato presentato in Concorso alla Berlinale nel 2020, mentre Showing Up ha concorso per la Palma d’oro al Festival di Cannes 2022. È stata membro della giuria di The Films After Tomorrow a Locarno 2020.

Following a number of short films, she returned to feature filmmaking in 2006 with Old Joy. Her subsequent films have shown and won awards at festivals around the world, including Cannes, Venice, Rotterdam and Toronto. First Cow (2019) screened in the main competition of the Berlinale in 2020, while Showing Up competed for the Palme d’Or at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival. Kelly Reichardt was a member of the jury of The Films After Tomorrow at Locarno 2020.
