Born and raised in Italy, Alessandro Novelli is a creative and animation director working for both the advertising world and the animated short film industry. He graduated from IED Turin in 2010 and in the same year he attended the SVA in New York City. In 2015, he developed his first short film The Guardian (2015), followed by Contact (2017) and De Imperio (2023), the last chapter of his animated short film trilogy. From 2018 he has worked as an independent Creative and Art Director from his studio Newgold, based in Porto. He is currently developing a new animated short film, Birds & Shells.
