Nico Manzano è nato a Caracas, Venezuela, nel 1986. Ha studiato animazione in stop motion al 9zeros e cinematografia per il cinema al CECC di Barcellona, Spagna. Ha diretto diversi video musicali, live visuals e spot pubblicitari. Yo y las bestias, il suo primo lungometraggio, ha vinto tre dei sei premi messi in palio dalla Primer Corte 2020 di Ventana Sur. La sua prima mondiale si è tenuta nella sezione Rebels With a Cause delle Tallinn Black Nights 2021.

He has directed several music videos, live visuals, and commercials. Yo y las bestias, his first feature film, won three of the six prizes offered at Ventana Sur´s Primer Corte 2020. Its World Premiere was held at the Rebels With a Cause section of Tallinn Black Nights 2021.
